Nick MacKechnie
Hi, my name is Nick MacKechnie. I was born in Dunedin at Queen Mary Hospital, breast fed on Speights and lived in Andersons Bay. I attended St Brigid's Primary School and then St Edmunds School in South Dunedin. In the Christmas of '88 we moved to Christchurch where I attended Christchurch Boys High School. After finishing school I completed some courses at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology while working for Syntech Computer Services Limited. I worked there for five years leaving as Service Manager before moving to Auckland to work for Fletcher Building.
In 2002 I starting working for Microsoft New Zealand.
In October of '99
Vanessa Buckner
and I were married - we have two healthy children - Liam (10 June 2002) and Lachlan (17 November 2005).
In December of 2006, We re-located back to Christchurch
where I opened our South Island office - Great to be back in the mainland again!

Hi, my name is Vanessa MacKechnie (nee Buckner). I was born in 1976 at Paeroa Hospital. My parents are Salvation Army officers so I spent much of my life being shifted around New Zealand. In June of 1981 I started school at Addington Primary School in Christchurch where I stayed until we shifted to Upper Hutt in 1987. I completed standard 4 at Trenthem Memorial School then I went to Fergusson Intermediate. In 1989 we shifted to Paeroa where I finished form two at Miller Avenue School before starting at Paeroa College where I stayed until the end of form 6.
In 1994 I packed up and moved back to Christchurch where I obtained my chefs qualification as well as my future husband, both at Christchurch Polytechnic. For the next four years I worked at Valentines Restaurant and Medbury Boys’ School.
In 1998 I moved to Auckland with Nick and in October 1999, we were married. I worked as a chef at Dilworth School and then as Kitchen Manager of the Salvation Army Bridge Centre up until the birth of Liam Nicholas in June 2002.Subsequently Lachlan Ian Reuben was born in November of 2005.
I am now a “stay at home, drink coffee with the girls Mum” and work part time at The University of Canterbury and loving it.

Hi, my name is Liam Nicholas MacKechnie. I was born on the 10th of June 2002 at National Womens' Hospital in Auckland. That would make me, not very old at all. I enjoy eating, sleeping and generally having people rush around after me - Life doesn't get any better than this! I'm a well travelled young man, and have been on many airplanes, boats, trains, cars and helicopters.
